I’m always thrilled to be hosting Mom and Kid Trips in beautiful Costa Rica. We’ll explore and play in the country’s Northwest Guanacaste region, once part of Nicaragua, this region is where the cultures of these two countries meet and share so much in common.   

We’ve planned comfortable spaces and immersive adventures that both moms and kids will love…think boating adventures, monkey & sloth sightings, volcano and waterfall exploring and more. We always make time for pool lounging for the moms, and beautiful sunsets with drinks while the kids play endlessly together.

  • Explore the food, culture, and lifestyle of one of the happiest and healthiest places as we travel and visit on the cusp of a Blue Zone.
  • Gaze on nature’s artistry along the vibrant blue waters of Rio Celeste, along with the emerald canopy surroundings and a symphony of exotic bird calls all around
  • Experience the wildlife in Costa Rica’s Amazing National Park system and get to know the wildlife of the area Iguanas! Sloths! Monkeys!…and more.
  • Enjoy the thermal pools and waterfall at Rincón de la Vieja National Park.
  • Relax in centralized accommodations while connecting with other travel moms who can relate to you and your desire to expose your little person to the world
  • Swing in a hammock while your child plays the day away at Hermosa Beach with travel companion pals. We spend a portion of our week just two blocks from one of Guanacaste’s prettiest beaches!
  • Traveling with a local expert you’ll learn about local people and traditions as well as the many connections this part of the country has with nearby Nicaragua.
  • You’ll be sure and get your hands dirty as you learn about Guatil pottery and an artist gives you a lesson at the pottery wheel!
  • Horseback ride through Costa Rica’s spectacular green landscapes.
  • Experience the traditions of the region through foods, dancing and life in rural communities
  • Connect with new people as you meet friendly locals who openly share their culture with you and your little ones.

**Mom and Kid Travels LLC reserves the option to modify trip itineraries as necessary due to weather, conditions, illness, injury, or other unforeseen incidents.

Travel Insurance
To protect your travel investment guests must purchase travel insurance prior to trip departure. There are many options where you can receive an easy, online quote in just a few minutes. See our Solo Mom Travel Tips section on Insurance for a list of companies who offer easy travel insurance.

Preparation
You should be prepared for some light physical activity like climbing stairs, lifting up to 10 lbs and walking, up to a mile, in 90°F + temperatures.
Passports are required and must be valid for six months after your return date for all attendees.
Trip designed for moms (18+) and companion minor. Two mom families & accompanying grandmas are welcome too! (reach out for additional adult or child ad-on price)
ARRIVAL: Plan flights to arrive anytime on our first day.
DEPARTURE: Plan departing flight to leave anytime on our final day after noon.

Trip Price

Early Bird Price $3675 USD per adult & child pair. Additional child $575 (4 and under) $975 (5+). Registrations received after early bird dates, $4075 USD per adult & child pair.

Non-Refundable Deposit: $600 due at booking

Final Day to Register: March 7, 2024

Space is limited to 10 families. Minimum 5 adult/child pairs to have trip.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

REGISTRATION
A nonrefundable deposit of $600 is required to hold your place. The remainder of the full balance is due by 60 days prior to the adventure start date. You will receive an invoice via email with payment instructions after placing your reservation. We accept all major credit cards. Arrangements can be made for payment plans within the time frame.

TRIP
There is a minimum of 5 participants to confirm the trip. If there are not enough participants, it may be cancelled and your deposit will be refunded. We recommend not purchasing flights until the trip is confirmed. Should a trip be cancelled, you will be contacted immediately and receive a full refund of all trip fees or be allowed to transfer to another equivalent trip. If you prefer a refund, then it will be given within 2 weeks of the cancellation. In the event of cancellation by Mom and Kid Travels LLC , we are not responsible for any expenses (travel or lodging) incurred beyond the registration fees. We strongly encourage you to purchase trip/travel insurance.

CANCELLATION
If you must cancel your reservation for any reason within the 60 days before the trip start you will receive a 50% refund minus your deposit.
